March is Women’s History Month when we celebrate the vital and powerful role that women play in our society, today, and over our history.

Mellow Mushroom is marking International Women’s Day on March 8, 2022, by celebrating its women franchisees. Tammi Hilton is a woman worth celebrating and has been operating her Cottleville restaurant for three years.

International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. For more than 100 years, IWD has used the day to mark a call to action for accelerating women’s equality everywhere.

Tammi Hilton has owned the Mellow Mushroom in Cottleville for three years. Opening a restaurant right before the pandemic has not been easy. As soon as she and her employees got into their groove, everything changed. Hilton says she has surrounded herself with good people. She also believes a woman's natural ability to find solutions has really helped navigate this new adventure. “I think as women we are always trying to find a solution. We are faced with challenges and problems all the time…I just try to look at the trends for data-driven decisions and share the information for us all to be more successful.”
