A walled garden offers a rare opportunity to blur the boundaries between indoors and out, creating a living area that feels both grounded in nature and rich with personality. In this space, the goal was to design an outdoor retreat that felt intentional and styled, yet relaxed enough to invite lingering afternoons and effortless entertaining.
At the heart of the garden living area are low-to-the-ground coffee tables crafted from reclaimed antique doors. These timeworn pieces bring a sense of history and authenticity, their weathered textures and hand-carved details telling stories of past lives while anchoring the space with warmth. Used as coffee tables, they encourage a slower, more grounded way of living—perfect for an outdoor setting where comfort and connection take precedence.
Nature-inspired tones were layered throughout the design to complement the surrounding greenery. Soft earthy neutrals, sun-washed woods, muted greens, and hints of terracotta create a palette that feels organic and calming. This restrained color story allows the textures—aged timber, carved details, woven fabrics, and natural stone—to take center stage, giving the space depth without visual clutter.
To elevate the garden from casual to curated, feature wall art was introduced along the garden walls. Bold carved panels and sculptural pieces add a sense of drama and artistry, transforming the enclosing walls into a gallery of craftsmanship. These elements bring Mogul Interior’s signature sense of global soul and surprise, ensuring the space feels layered rather than purely functional.
The result is a modern bohemian garden living area that feels intimate, grounded, and effortlessly stylish. By blending reclaimed architectural elements with relaxed furnishings and artisanal wall art, the space becomes more than an outdoor setting—it becomes an extension of the home’s personality. It’s a place designed for barefoot mornings, candlelit evenings, and moments of quiet escape, all framed by the timeless beauty of handcrafted design
