Another care should be taken about electricity. Do not touch switches or other electric items when you are standing in water. This poses a grave danger of you getting an electric shock. It also poses a danger to others inside the place.

The best method to dry out after water damage is to soak all the water by using a sponge or a thick cotton cloth. It is quite effective and better than other techniques. Using a bucket to collect water along with the sponge will avoid water spilling to other dry areas.
