Shoes are a form of foot gear that covers our feet up to the ankle. They are designed to protect our feet from cold, dampness and rough ground that can cause injury.

In the early civilizations, sandals were the most common footwear. But in this day and age, you will not find many department stores without shoes – different kinds of shoes. Shoes for men, women, teens and kids are available in different designs, sizes, materials, colors and style. Some look at shoes as practical necessities while others buy several pair of shoes to follow the latest trend.

In buying a new pair of shoes, there are four factors to consider: style, color, price and comfort. In other words, your new pair of shoes should possess a striking look to match the rest of your wardrobe. The price you pay for shoes must suit your budget and most importantly, shoes should be comfortable.

However, among those factors, style is often a major consideration. Some prefer to sacrifice comfort for contemporary styles. There are some people, especially women, who opt to have fashionable shoes over “comfortable” ones. But if you are wise, you’ll consider all four factors. Remember that poorly fitted shoes – shoes that are too narrow, too short or too large – can cause uneasiness, soreness, calluses, blisters and even permanent deformity.

So, if you in the market for a new pair of shoes remember that shopping for shoes can be nerve-racking. When you walk into a shoe store, you’ll be amazed with the latest and the hottest shoes from different manufacturers. You should first have an idea as to what type, color and style of shoes you are looking for.
