Trend Reminder

After a long and rainy delay spring is coming, bringing sunny days, exciting feelings and of course new outfits with it. During this never- ending cold, grayish winter period and after the recent Fashion Weeks for FW 08/09 we almost forgot about the "must haves" for this Spring & Summer season. Lets recall it all in our memory. Turn your back on dull colors like black and brown and meet the spring in wonderfully bright colors, light fabrics, frills and flowers. This spring is coming with contrasts and that not too short. It is bringing soft romantic tones and cuts alongside with neon colors like purple and lilac and eclectic patchwork. Skinny jeans will have to make some room on their throne as "the must have" item in every wardrobe to high waist jeans. But beware- wide jeans need a lot of thought and are very difficult to pull off. This is a trend, which needs to be enjoyed very carefully.
Of course there is no summer without accessories and this season in particular is literally screaming for it: accessories, accessories, accessories. Huge sunglasses, large shoulder bags, small clutches, bangles, scarves and, as a surprise, skinny belts. We should not forget about shoes- this secret obsession of every woman, we could never get enough of. This season everything goes, from killer- heel peep toes to unbelievably comfortable Gladiators, ballerinas and wedges. Colors, print and flowers make their appearance on shoes as well.
With all these new and exciting trends it is difficult to decide what goes with what in order to create a flattering ensemble, without going over the top. We should look up some tips from the masters of fashion. There are a few websites offering a wide range of runways pictures for Spring/Summer 08. There you can browse Ready To Wear or Haute Couture collections and get inspired by the looks to create your own style for this summer.
This was a little trend reminder, to freshen up our memories and start shopping.
