The VoIP carriers are fundamental to providing reliable, robust and powerful telephony services. One cannot doubt the fact that there exists a requirement for providers of such services. It is now possible to take telephony and data communications to a higher level and integrate the same for mission critical applications. This makes it inevitable for organizations to stay in tune with any developments that take place in this sector; otherwise there is every chance that would fall way back in the competition.
The VoIP carriers are mainly of three types. The Tier-1 carriers have their own networks and operate globally. Then there are the Tier-2 carriers that comprise of companies that lease their services from Tier-1 providers and then deliver the services to the customers of their area. The Tier- 3 providers are the ones that lease services either from Tier- 1 or Tier-2 carriers and then pass them on to the end users.
The VoIP carrier services ensure that people are able to save on their phone bills. This is the only system of telephony that does not recognize local or international calls as different and treats them to be the same. It allows international calls to be made at cheaper rates and allows call forwarding, call waiting and call display. In this technology, there is also the possibility of making three way calling. Thus, one can rely on VoIP for a conference as well as making long-distance or overseas calls.
Nowadays, there are several VoIP plans for one to choose from. The traditional phone companies have started to realize that they no more can compete with the VoIP carrier service providers as there is no way they can emerge winners in terms of cost cutting. The VoIP wholesale carrier services take advantage of this fact and play a more significant role in making such services reach every home and every business establishment. So, there is rapid tie-up with smaller companies that bring IP telephony to their own targeted customers. As a matter of fact, this technology is now reaching millions of people worldwide. With this technology, there is no need to lease for airtime or PSTN links as it is necessary in traditional networks. VoIP also provides greater bandwidths for making hassle free international calls. The wholesale carrier services also sell airtime to companies that offer long distance prepaid cards. So, the service providers work together and make sure that the services reach a state of profitability all over the world.
Thus, the expansion of VoIP is ensured by the carriers of these services. The carriers, who could be the service providers in our locality, bring to us some innovative solutions at affordable costs. The costs are always low as compared to the traditional means of telephony.
