Are you in the clothing retail business? Then you must have a need for custom clothing labels. In the clothing industry, labels are everything. Labels put premium on the apparels you sell by bringing in branding and equity.
Several retail businesses like malls get their apparels from a bulk source. The products are made very cheap because they are mass-produced. Examples of these are shirts, shorts, pants, skirts and blouses. These are not branded products. The malls get them in bulk and brand them using clothing labels.
Now, if you are bit entrepreneurial, you can do the same. All you need is a good source or manufacturer. The best source for cheap but good quality apparel is China. They can produce bulk orders quickly. Because they have opened up for trade, shipping and freight will not be too hard to arrange.
You can also do as big retailers do. When your orders arrive, put your own brand name on them before selling. Check out online stores that provide customized services for deigning, manufacturing and printing clothing labels. Custom clothing labels can also be used at homes. Big families may need to put labels on everyone’s clothes to maintain order.
There are different ways of attaching custom labels to clothing. You may choose sewn in tags or nameplates. This is the easiest method to use, but it requires expert sewing skills. If you are putting the tag on the inside, your tailors must be careful about not letting any sew marks show on the outside. A solution to this is the woven nametape. Woven nametapes are made of cotton, and they can be sewn in by hand or by machine. When the nameplate is done, it is glued to the fabric using a special adhesive that does not wear off form washing or ironing. Another kind of nameplate is made of a plastic. To apply this flexible material on fabric, heat is required. The nameplates are ironed on the fabric. The process usually takes as only ten seconds.
