As a teenager being a few pounds overweight you may feel like you are the biggest person on the planet but you aren't. The clothing that you wear will make a difference in not only your confidence but how you appear to others. You can look thinner just by choosing different styles of clothing and still look fashionable. You can do this, and always be in fashion and stylish.
The designers are in the process of creating great styles and very fashionable clothing for adults and adolescents adults that are plus size. We no longer have to look like we are wearing tents as clothing. While being overweight still not healthy, it's nice to know that we know have great fashions to choose from being plus-sized people. Young people and adults now have more options when it comes to fashion it is finally about time that the clothing designers have taken note in the industry and creating and designing clothing for the larger people in the World.
Jeans look great on everyone, no matter what your size. Jeans now have breathable fabric that will look snug and still will breathe with you allowing it to stretch around the tightest part of your waist while allowing you to move comfortably. You don't need to wear jeans sizes too small that you feel like you can't breathe anymore. The new designs will move with you and not feel overly tight all day long. Looking for jeans that are relaxed will give you more breathing room.
Shirt styles are an important item to consider when buying shirts. You don't want shirts that are so tight that the buttons look like they are popping open, yet you don't want a shirt that appears to be several sizes too big for you either. Shirts are now being made with fabric that will be form fitting yet not tight to show every flaw that your body has. They are deigned in more colors and styles so that you are able to find just the perfect shirt to compliment your outfit. Even the tee shirts that you can buy are more comfortable then just the 100% tee shirt that won't stretch and won't give any. The new tee shirts will expand and still retain its shape. These look great, they're not snug but they're also not too big that they are hanging making you look bigger.
How to look thinner by choosing different clothing:
Color: You do not have to always wear black while black will make you look thinner you will want to add color and prints to your wardrobe. You can wear bright colored fabrics and look great, it's not so much the color choices but the prints of the fabric that will make you look larger. Choose less "busy" prints and smaller designs and look thinner.
Footwear: It seems as if you have heels and looking taller, you will look thinner, you do not want to wear really high spikes but shoes with some heels.
Print: If you wear stripes you will appear thinner if the stripes are vertical not horizontal. This way when people are looking at you they're eyes will see you as taller not wider. Horizontal stripes will make you look wider. If you do wear horizontal stripes make sure the stripes are larger and in a neutral color.
Jewelry: you don't want to wear overbearing dominate jewelry but wearing small jewelry will draw the eye to the jewelry and not your weight.
As a young person being overweight, I know how difficult it is. But confidence will bring you through these teen years and your weight won't matter. It's how you present yourself to people. If you are confident, keeping a positive outlook no one will really notice your weight issues.
