Hevea Brasiliensis is the scientific name of the rubber tree where latex comes from. The sap of these trees, which is the main ingredient of natural latex mattresses, are collected and processed.
There are two methods in which these natural latex mattresses are manufactured. Both of which is to create holes and cores inside the finished product to produce the softness of these mattresses.
The Dunlop, which is the original process, whips the latex liquid which traps air within the liquid creating foam. It is then placed in a mold and heated to vulcanize. The air trapped within the liquid creates the holes or core of the mattress. The Talalay method is similar to the Dunlop but has variations in the process which gives them more control on how the cores are formed.
They are quite soft, gentle on the pressure points on your body, resistant to molds, resistant to dust mites, anti-microbial and hypo-allergenic. It also has a natural smell but much of it is removed during the manufacturing process. The remaining odor should not be a problem unless you have a very sensitive smell.
Aside from all the benefits, the most important thing with regards to health is that it is natural. It is not made with synthetic materials which may give out chemical odors that could be detrimental to the health in the long run.
Natural latex mattresses are harder to find than mock latex mattresses. With research and the convenience of the internet, it should not be too hard to find one. Compared to synthetic latex mattresses, the natural ones are somewhat more expensive. But the price difference is nothing to worry about when you have health in your mind.
If you make a decision to buy a natural latex mattress, combine it with toppers using organic or natural materials so you will be guaranteed a healthy sleep all the way. Even your pillows, choose organic cotton or some other materials that are natural.
We spend about 8 hours each day in the bed. If synthetic supplies are used to manufacture your mattress, it would mean inhaling the fumes coming from the chemicals for 8 hours each night. How would it sum up in the long run?
Mattresses constructed with these components will typically cost as much as 2 to 3 thousand dollars for a queen sized mattress. The benefits of latex are certainly available in more affordable all latex mattresses, which can be priced below a thousand dollars for a queen sized mattress. Substituting blended latex, with high natural content, and a cover that avoids the use of topically applied chemical fire-retardants, can create a significant cost advantage in all latex mattresses.
Loss of sleep can bring some serious consequential effects on a person's health and personality. This is very true especially when losing those precious forty winks is happening regularly. Most of the time, the source of the problem can be traced to a bad bed, or more specifically a bad mattress. If the source of the problem lies in just the bad mattress then the solution is, go get a good one. A sleep number bed is one that is highly recommended by satisfied customers. It has become quite popular nowadays because it is one of the current innovative mattresses in the market.
Everybody has a certain degree of softness that they like in a mattress and the correct amount that your body likes may be different from someone else's. What a mother does during pregnancy greatly affects her baby and her sleeping habits. In fact, sleeping habits are a big part of what determines a child's health at this early stage. She may need a different level of softness in her mattress than her husband needs just so the baby can enjoy a peaceful sleep as well.
Sleep for a pregnant woman is very essential but it is really essential to everyone. It helps to be able to adjust your bed to the physical changes or even moods swings that a person is dealing with. Although this is especially true for pregnant women, it is also true for the elderly or for different partners who prefer different ways of sleeping.
A natural Latex mattress is generally created by using at least 2 layers of all natural latex, covered in organic cotton with organic wool batting, which is a natural fire-retardant. The sleep number bed can also be used by kids who are constantly having difficulty in finding the best kind of sleep for them.
