The women of India are known for their Jewelry and other decorative material they wear on their body. That makes them look rich, special and attractive. They have a trend like if someone is wearing more heavy Jewelry then that woman belongs to a very rich family. All the Indian Jewelry designed is having some meaning. That is if a piece of Jewelry is wore by woman then piece signifies something about the women tradition and culture. Sometimes it also signifies the status of there husband. Mainly this Indian Jewelry tells about the marital status of the woman. This all is coming to this generation from the past so many years of about 5000. Indian Jewelry is made of several things like silver, gold, pearls, beads, stones, etc. Earlier the Indian Jewelry was made and consumed by the Indian women only. But now and from the past so many years Indian Jewelry has importance outside India also. In fact, large quantity of Indian Jewelry is exported to other countries. This Indian Jewelry slowly becomes a very large area of business; it fascinated many of the traders in India along with traders of abroad. If you don’t then let me tell you that this Indian Jewelry is very costly outside the India i.e., it has a very large value. But the value of Indian Jewelry in India is not just the money, but more then that as they signifies the health, living of their husband which worthless. They are not going to sell some of there jewels even if they don’t have money to eat. So, In short for them it’s just not the Jewelry but also a matter of security. As I told you that fashion of Jewelry in India is 5000 years old, and the ornaments made at that time has the maximum value in today’s world. But due to the change in trend, new designs of Jewelry are now designed. In fact now there number of institute which runs a course especially for the designing for jewellery. This field is no more the ancestral business field, but a professional field where there is large number of vacancies for Indian Jewelry designers. Indian Jewelry contains the maximum of variety than any other country’s Jewelry as India contains the maximum number of traditions and cultures.
So after reading above you come to know that Jewelry is of many types and in that also there are various materials used to make jewellery. Some of which are silver, gold, diamond, stones, etc., all these types of Jewelry made in India under the tag of Indian Jewelry is world famous and having high from outside India. There are various types of Jewelry come under the category of Indian Jewelry that is:

Necklaces
Earrings
Nose rings
And many more, Along with this various types of styles are available in each kind of Jewelry with lots of variety in the material of the jewellery. This all depends upon the place from where you are purchasing the jewellery, because every place in India has there own unique style of making the jewellery. This style can’t be copied all over the world. People of that place only know how to make there type of jewellery, the honor of making there special type of Jewelry comes in them hereditary.
You all must be familiar with the filigree work, which is a very minute type of work in which thin silver threads are molded to form various types of jewellery. This type of Jewelry is very difficult to make. His Jewelry is made up in Andhra Pradesh and Orissa only.

This is because they characterize their culture.
Unique Jewelry
Jewelry that is worn and casted in today’s world by looking at the new fashion is known as unique Jewelry or antique jewellery. This Jewelry is mostly found in silver and gold. These Jewelry are oxidized because of which dull look is seen over them. Antique Jewelry relates to the present trend and is in reality considered more of fancy jewellery.

Mughal Density was the main influencer of the meenakari jewellery. This type of Jewelry is made of kundan embedded in the gold or silver. Precious stones and beads are also used in making up oh this type Of Indian Jewellery. Sometimes the combinations of these are used to make a new and attractive type of jewellery. Jaipur is famous for this type of Indian Jewellery. Or we can say North India is the founder of Meenakari Jewellery.
Jewelry of South India
Rudraksha beads which are very much in fashion in nowadays. It is in fashion mainly because of the sudden knowledge of people has increased towards the spiritual value of it. But no one knows that from where this rudraksha was invented. It is south India.

From the history of Jewelry we got various types of emotional values attached with it. That is why for Indian women the Jewelry is not just the matter of wealth but more than that. Every type of Jewelry has it significance at there own place.
In short history of Jewelry provides the basic meaning of wearing the Jewelry on the woman’s body. So it is the very important part of the Indian Jewellery.
