When changing out the headlights of your BMW, there are many options and upgrades available that you can choose from.
BMW Angel Eye Halo Headlights will improve the look of your vehicle and improve how you see while in your vehicle, with an extended beam length which dramatically improves on night time road vision on a low profile vehicle.
As an accessory, the halo ring of the BMW lights are available in different colors.
Most BMW headlights use halogen bulbs, improving on visibility and cutting down glare to oncoming traffic in night driving conditions. The halogen bulbs for the BMW come in a variety of colors to include white, yellow, blue and purple. Check with local law enforcement officials before selecting a headlight bulb color other than white to ensure that you are not violating any local or state ordinances for safety. Some BMW headlight models will contain separate high and low beam bulbs, while others will make use of a single bulb with dual filaments.
To add to the accessory nature of the BMW and its unending strive for individuality for its owners, The BMW head light housing also comes with several different options. Selecting your options of black or chrome housing, and clear or halo headlights will add your own personal touch to the night time style impact of your BMW.
There are also several options available to upgrade the tail light components of your BMW for maximum visibility as well as style. Tail light sets are available in your choice of clear red or smoked lenses to provide an instant upgrade to European styling. Models later than 2003 also have the option of installing the Eagle Eye tail lights which have a sleeker style and are also available in both clear red and smoked lens options. As an additional upgrade in taillight styling, many drivers choose the LED lamping rather than the traditional halogen lamps. LEDs use less energy and are guaranteed for the life of the vehicle, although many drivers complain of a strobe light effect when viewing during clear night time conditions.
Installation
With a part replacement cost of $150 to $250 per set on taillights and $100 for the cost of headlights, it may be worth the extra few dollars to have them installed, but in case you are the enthusiast who just enjoys the feel of upgrading his vehicle himself, here are quick installation tips to replacing your BMW head and tail light components:

Removal of the existing headlight assemblies and mounting bracket should be done according to instructions found in your owners manual, and instructions for replacement of new housing components will be shown, accompanied by diagrams, on headlight packaging.
