When you think of getting a unique birthday gift for a man, you want to get something that is different. It can also be something that is original. There are plenty of creative gift ideas that you can use to get that special man (whether it’s your dad, brother, husband, partner, cousin, brother-in-law, uncle, best friend, etc.) something that they would cherish. It can also be difficult to get something for someone (a male specifically) that you know has everything.

Even though you may want something unique, you know in the back of your mind that you may have to go to great lengths to get that special gift and know in your heart that he will like it. It doesn’t make sense to get the regular gifts, such as ties, coffee mugs or colognes.

There are some things that do come to mind when talking about a unique birthday gift for a man:

  • If he likes to grill, you could get him some nice grilling utensils. Check out motorized brushes and other grilling necessities. If possible, maybe you’ll want to get some of that engraved with his initials. He would love that. How macho it’d be standing behind a grill swinging new utensils.

  • A food and wine basket would be a great way to get men’s attention. However, it can’t just be any kind of food and wine basket. You can also choose from different themed baskets, such as chocolate baskets, cheese baskets or gift baskets filled with exotic fruits.

  • Men love to tinker with gadgets. You may want to get him something that he can use on his vehicle or a gadget that he can use if he plays golf.

  • And men like to collect things no one else has. How about starting him on a collection of mini-real estate parcels; you can search using Google to find a really unusual birthday gift for him and buy land in each and every state in the United States (together or separately) for only a few dollars or a piece of Ireland, Scotland, the Moon, and even Uranus. They’re all novel gift ideas.

It would help if you knew what their personality was: Here are some examples of different male personalities:

  • Geeks

  • Golfers

  • Adventurers

  • Thinkers

  • Hippies

  • Collectors

So when you know about their personalities, then it can make your selection easier. Make sure that the gifts are personalized for him. Not necessarily with their names or initials, but selected to match the personality of your male. He will feel so appreciative that you went that extra mile to make sure that you really thought enough about him to do that.

Put some originality and creativity into whatever you get. You want to stand out from others and do something different than what other people do. The recipient will appreciate the lengths you went to in order to make it special for him.

The key is to get away from the common gifts, such as colognes, ties and after shaves and work on picking gifts that are unique, but yet something that they would cherish for many years to come.
