For those people who post on Craigslist, there is probably a very good chance that at least once in the past they have had a Craigslist PVA account or several accounts put on hold by Craigslist. When an account is put on hold, it is lost forever. Nothing can be done to bring it back from the dead and start being used again. While this isn't such an issue for normal or unverified accounts, for phone verified accounts it can be a costly problem if it happens again and again to each new account your create. Luckily there are a few basic steps that you can take to try and improve the lifespan of your phone verified accounts. These steps do no guarantee or make your accounts bulletproof but will definitely help them last as long as possible.
The most important thing you need to remember when posting on Craigslist is that everything you do is logged or tracked by Craigslist. While it is not exactly known what or how much is being tracked, account activity is still tracked at some level. The first level that all accounts are tracked at is IP activity. This isn't a problem for the casual poster who puts one ad up on Craigslist each week but does become a problem for someone who is looking to post several ads day in and day out. Each time you log in to your accounts and post ads, the IP that you used is logged. The problem with IP arises when you start accessing multiple accounts from one or a very few IPs, hence creating a pattern. Craigslist terms state that you are only allowed to have one account and one way they enforce this is through tracking of IP activity on accounts. If they notice several accounts are being accessed by the same or very similar IPs, red flags are raised and you may find that those accounts one day are suddenly placed on hold. For phone verified accounts, the most common method to avoid raising red flags due to IP activity is to use a different IP for each Craigslist PVA that you have. If you have 10 phone verified accounts then you should be using at least 10 different IPs. This is perhaps the biggest and one of the most important steps to remember if you want to avoid having verified accounts placed on hold. After you log in and post with an account, rotate to a fresh IP and continue posting. The second and almost as important point to remember when using phone verified accounts is to limit how often you post ads on Craigslist. Normal or unverified accounts have no restriction and can be used to post hundreds of ads each day until they die and then you simply create a new account. With phone verified accounts this is a little trickier. The official Craigslist policy is that one account can post an ad every 48 hours. Some people do post more than this but doing so again raises the chance of red flags being raised and your accounts being suspended. If you are looking to make the most of your accounts, then it would be advised to post no more than once every 48 hours. If you wish to post anymore than this, simply obtain more phone verified accounts and post the additional ads with them. Going past one ad every 48 hours increases the chance of the account being suspended and rendered useless.
These are just two tips that anyone who uses Craigslist should keep in mind. Always rotate to a fresh IP and avoid posting anymore than one ad every 48 hours. By following these two simple tips you increase the likely hood that your Craigslist PVA will not be suspended and last for a long time.
