Learning guitar is not only a passion for music lovers but has come up as a trend as well. You would find various stores and websites that are offering to learn guitar by charging somewhere from $30 to $100. The hour rates would surly dent your pocket. There are some guitar lessons offers that ridiculous to believe, there are 30 minutes lessons. Taking a guitar lesson in such time is next to impossible as it almost takes that much time to tune the guitar it self. If you really are serious about learning the art of playing guitar and excelling it, the key is that be very particular about whom you are trusting for imparting the guitar lessons.
There are certain things that would tell you about a guitar teacher being good enough for you.
See how much minimum time commitment in a day or for a lesson is the potential guitar teacher is offering. In case he/she proposes anything less than an hour, be alert the person wants to make money. Your learning is not the endeavor for him. Be very careful of such teachers. Employing one of such would not only burn holes in your pocket, but wouldn’t help you learn anything.
If you are picking a guitar shop to learn the lessons from, be alert about the quality of lessons. Just because it is a guitar shop doesn’t certify that it would be top notched or at least better than the rest. Explore your options.
Look out for other people who are taking guitar lessons and try and find the best teacher. Go with the recommendations of the students who are already taking classes. To chose the best amongst the option available, try to know as much as you can from the students about the quality of guitar lessons that their respective teachers are imparting.
Guitar lessons should always be taken from a teacher who himself is quite passionate about it. As while imparting lessons, the passion he would have would help you not only learn better but he would give tips to contribute, for you being a good guitarist. Such a teacher would not only make you learn the technical aspects of playing guitar but at the same time would acquaint you with the soul of it. This is the real essence of learning guitar.
Ensure that you learn to play guitar only from a person who impresses you while playing it. One would never want to learn to cook from a person whose food isn’t good to taste. The same goes for guitar lessons as well. Ask the potential teacher to play for you, listening to that decide that would you want to have him/her as your mentor.
At a party, a concert or else; if you hear a person playing excellent guitar that touches your souls, take pride in asking that person to be your mentor. Such a person could be best to justify the guitar lessons for you.
