Ordinarily, LCD TVs exist longer than plasma. Although needless to say, it does not connote that LCD TVs will exist forever. It does undergoes wear and tear just like any other contraption. It may fail some times based on the winding and disentangling of the crystal inside. Time will also come that your TV will resign and retreat. But be confident that when that time comes, you received your money's worth.

It is stated that a regular LCD TV has a duration of 60,000 - 80,000 hours. When you properly preserve your LCD TV, manipulate it under proper terms considering heat, humidity and other things, it could exist as long as 80,000 hours. The quality of presentation will positively devolve over time. When that takes place, you will begin to note that the image is getting smudged as time passes.

The one matter that you need not fail to look at in an LCD TV is how long ongoing the light source is. There should be a guarantee for this one as it is the light stream that manipulates the picture quality and limpidity. As LCD TVs could exist for quite a time before sooner or later giving up, you ought to get the most out of the conditions when you are making use of your LCD television.

To preserve the seamless white equilibrium of your flat screen TV, it is exceptionally to think about the quality of the light stream. To exist longer, the lighting needs to be of a superior quality. So it is keener to give a higher cost for a honorable brand instead of deciding for less pricey ones that have no guarantee on them.

Think about the contrast level of the television. If the contrast levels persist high for a longer time period, your LCD TV would get old swifter. Lower light levels would indicate a longer life-time for your television.

Several flat screen TVs fabricated by Sharp have a detached light stream. This is specially finer than having a light stream in the same unit as when the light stream is out, then the whole television will no longer function its role.

So remember the guarantee on the back light. Liquid Crystal Display TVs may not be utilized for a life-time in comparison to other televisions due to the light beams. These beams are the very center why an LCD TV is processing. However, sustenance of the LCD TV is very much lighter in comparison with the typical televisions.

I would believe the comment made by Randy Says. I have a Sanyo LCD that I bought 5 years ago. My son used it hard with his XBOX. It is now getting dimmer, and remains of the previous screen image are faintly visible on the next screen image (usually lettering or logos). Very annoying. I don't think its my cable box (although I DID just switch from Comcast to FIOS). I am going to try using my TV at a friend's house to confirm that its the TV and not the cable input, but my money is on the fact that the TV is dying.

My lcd hdtv only lasted 4 years. Im told its either the main board or the panel. The two techs I took it to informed me that lcd tv will only last 4 to 6 years. Any brand. Thier advice just throw it away. $800 bucks down the drain. They said the sales pitch of the tv lasting 20 years is more or less a lie. What do you think? Randy
