When you drove back from the showroom with your new car you would have been delighted with everything. If you had been sold the car correctly your expectations would have matched with what you got and you would have been very satisfied. When you buy a new product and feel satisfied with it, it's a great feeling.
However human beings have a tendency for not remaining satisfied for very long. That's not a bad quality at all because a lot of the progress made by human beings is due to the fact that they were never quite satisfied. Therefore when one day you feel that your car can do with a little more power when driving on the highway your mind will start looking for options.
So is there an easy way to improve the power output of your new car? Well that is a fair question to ask because if there was one then the car manufacturer would have made the necessary changes and sold the improved car. The good news is that there is a way. And the explanation why manufacturers do not offer it as standard equipment is that individual requirements vary and not everyone wants the additional power.
The option is a simple and elegant product called a cold air intake. A cold air intake takes fresh cold air ambient air and takes it directly and quickly to the engine. Since the air is taken quickly it doesn't get heated up by the heat surrounding a car's engine. And being cold for the given volume of the car's cylinder more air is able to get inside because cold air is denser. When the fuel now ignites inside the engine there is more oxygen available for it to burn. This helps the fuel to burn more efficiently and a slightly more quantity of fuel gets burnt. This causes an additional release of energy which means the car gets more power.
In fact the additional fuel getting burnt also improves the fuel efficiency of your car. Therefore a cold air intake gives you a double benefit. You can easily choose a cold air intake online where you can find other car aftermarket products such as body kits.
