The latest advancement of the modern technology has gifted a new mode of communication system, the mobile, with which one can stay connected all the time. And with the advent of mobile or cellular service there opened new scopes of marketing technologies. And on of such very recent marketing techniques is the sms marketing. This is a very useful thing for the companies to communicate with their customers therefore the marketing technology of bulk sms is growing wide spread demand throughout the world. Most of the leading companies are in favor of using this method so that they can have a better communication with their customers along with the fact that it is one of the cheapest means of delivering message throughout the world. With the help of the bulk sms facility the company can send same message to a large number of people at the same time.
As sms is a spam free communication system therefore there are less restriction in sending message relating to your business to anyone you wish. As stated earlier this is a less costly means than telephonic conversation and you need not stay connected to the Internet as in case of live communication. It is even better than email marketing as it is often seen that the email you send often is seen to be treated by the customer’s mail client as junk mail. Therefore your mail often gets deleted without the notice of your customer. On the other hand if you send your message in the form of sms it will get directly to the customer’s hand set and therefore the customer need not have to sit in front of the computer to read your message. It is also less time consuming both in favor of you and your customer. As you can send a single message to a large number of people at the same time therefore it takes you very less time to deliver your message. All you need to do is to write the message once and set the mobile numbers that you want the message to be sent to and your message would be send to those numbers within a few seconds. It is also less time consuming for your customers also as the message gets stored in the customer’s inbox and he can read it at whatever time that would be suitable for him therefore it is also a great benefit for your customer as he can go through the sms several times for better understanding. It is unlike telephonic conversation where your sales person need to spend a lot of time and effort to make the customers understand what they mean to say. After you reading the sms if your customer thinks your offer to be interesting he can respond to that and if not all h need to do is to delete the sms. Therefore it is much a clear cut and easy way of conveying your message to your customer.
However, there is also less chance of your message getting lost in the mid way before reaching the customer if you use sms method. The fact is that when you send the message it does not go straight to the customer’s mobile. The store and forward facility makes the message get stored in the SMSC and then it is delivered if the customer’s mobile is in the condition of receiving it. Therefore if the customer’s hand set is switched off or is out of range the message can wait even for days and is delivered only when he turns his mobile on or moves within range.
