ADVOID COMPLETE DISASTER!

FREE UNBIASED TRUTHFULL ADVICE.

Do not Just call around for the best budget removals hourly rate. The cheapest removalist. You have to know more about what you get. It’s just too dangerous!

WHY? Firstly, an experienced removalist can really move furniture SO much faster. Don't think that the best hourly removals rate will necessarily be a cheaper removal in the end. It could be a lot slower or a lot worse. COSTLY BREAKAGES or A COMPLETE "NO SHOW"

Q: Have you ever seen experienced removalist move a couch through a doorway ?

It looks TOO easy right? But you just watch the cowboys take all day.

Secondly, there are a huge number of removalists in Sydney. No licences or training all cash, no public liability its an all in brawl. Just rent a truck , run a cheap removals AD and off you go ! If you choose the cheapest it’s a big mistake, a lottery ticket of disaster. You will not even get a cancellation phone call when they get a better job. Ask around! "No shows" are common! I can't tell you how many jobs I have got because clients call us and say our removalists did not turn up. It is crazy out there.

Thirdly, Internet has stimulated removals prices competition downwards so much that you are really scraping the bottom of the barrel if you go super budget cheap removals when prices in general are already very competitive in this industry.

Sydney Removal services

Many years of experience has taught us that 95% of problems could have been avoided with better communications either from the removals companies’ admin, the removalist’s staff or the clients themselves. A lot of removalists don't have a receptionist! After all who can afford another wage when you are offering the cheapest hourly rate. The two man and truck service now really becomes a three man removal service if you consider the office staff answering your calls and answering your removals questions. Some owner operators can manage this quite well using hands free earpiece but most of the removalists don't even answer the phone.

Removals Administration.

It is extremely difficult to managent the timing of a removals job. Hourly rate services are not going to visit your premises pick-up and drop-off locations to get a good timing or removals estimate. You have to have good management. With considerate job management they are more likely to get this crucial timing right and the timing can make or break your moving day plans. A poorly administered service will have many problems.

Removals Prices A general Guideline

How much is a removals service worth? (From Top to Bottom)

OK now first consider the costs, Wages! Let’s say $20/hr (min) Plus tax, super, workers comp. That's no less than a COST $35/hr per man. Not including ANY cost of admin, truck, diesel, insurance. Where is the profit? A two man and a truck service will AT COST be about $90 per hour!

Q: Well what kind of profit does a removalist deserve? In an ideal world they should get 100 % return making a good removalist worth $180/hr. At the top end.

  1. Well $180/hr at the top end is what the large, fully established, companies a re charging. And they deserve it! Who is to say they don't.

  2. Other long and well established companies are charging about $130 to $150 per hr

  3. Good Owner operators or cheap but well managed services about $120

  4. Budget owner operators about $110

  5. Below that is dangerous territory! Start-ups, internet booking agents, cowboys etc...IT’S A LOTTERY FROM HELL DON"T GO THERE!

SO YOU SHOULD BE PAYING ANYWHERE FROM $110 to $180 per hour
