And, on comparing the twos, we don't find that much of difference except Dream being an Androind handset in comparison to Acer X960 which is a smart phone featuring Microsoft Windows 6.1 OS. Apart from this, Dream also has built in full QWERTY keyboard which is not available in X960. So, in totality, we find HTC dream winning this race with small margins.

Coming on to X960, the handset is basically one of the five phones in Acer Tempo Smartphone Series. User can navigate on its touchscreen with the help of stylus and a five-way navigation button. And, as the handset is compatible with video call, there is given a front-facing VGA camera. The handset is set to deliver talk time of up to 6 hours coupled with whopping standby time of up to 275 hours.
Although, all the latest messaging options have been included in both the handsets including MMS, Email and instant messaging. However, X960 offers users messaging in threaded view. Apart from this, as X960 is a full fledged smart phone, with this handsets user can enjoy numbers of features including document viewer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, PDF), Outlook Mobile email client, MSN messenger, Windows Live and Windows Media Player 10.
