Strapless? I'm not sure. Backless? Definitely. Wait. No. Yes. Can I see some more?

What - tell me NOW - are the latest prom dresses looking like? Full-length or short, silk or organza, ruffles, bows, sequins. wow, its seems like the choices are endless. How do you ever decide what you want?

Stop and think for a minute - not about the dress, but about you. Who are you? Are you loud and funny and the center of attention? Or are you quiet, a little conservative, maybe? Do you want to fit in with a dress that everyone will like? Or do you want something that screams how utterly different you are and utterly little you give a damn what anybody else thinks? Are you ready to play the sophisticated woman, or do you still want to cling to the little girl for a while longer? When you can see yourself, you'll see the dress you want.

So, what is it you see? Romantic and feminine? Try something full-length and flowing, with a slightly full skirt. Jovani Prom has some beautiful dresses made from billowing chiffon in pretty, soft pastel colors that will bring out the romantic in anyone. A sweetheart neckline and a fuller, tulle skirt suggest the graceful ballerina - check out Jovani Prom Dresses to see this look.

OK, so you're not the romantic type. Funky and offbeat is more your style? Take a look at Betsey Johnson Prom. Ruffles with plaid? Suspenders with organza? Love it. Maybe a vintage look is what you need. Sue Wong channels the "flapper" look with her short, uneven hems and empire waistlines. BG Haute is another line with great vintage looks, including bright florals that scream "Fifties!" and long, straight lines direct from the seventies.

Maybe a flirty, girly style says who you are. An above-the-knee strapless from Sherri Hill would be just precious! And Flip has some adorable babydolls, as well as these strapless, short gowns with polka-dotted skirts that are too cute! For the ultimate in "I'm a girl and I'm here to flirt," take a look at Sherri Hill - cocktail-length metallic, dotted tulle with a taffeta sash or beaded paisley mini with a sweetheart neckline? Choices,

choices.

You could always go WILD on prom night (and no, nothing Daddy wouldn't approve of). Jovani Dress has this mini metallic gold and black leopard print with a deep V-neck and wide black sash (very slimming), and then there's their full-length, strapless, fuchsia zebra print with the mermaid train. Wow! For something nature-inspired that's slightly more subtle, don't miss La Femme's florals and animal prints. They come in mini-, knee-

or full-length in a lot of different fabrics and styles.

You say you just want a nice, old-fashioned prom dress? Something traditional, not too crazy, but not too boring, either? Faviana has gorgeous full-length gowns in neutrals and jewel-tones with halter, strapless and backless options. Another option for the classic prom look is the prom line from It's All About Me (and isn't it always?). You can get anything from bold orange to basic black, from form-fitting slinkiness that

shows off all your curves to graceful and flowing empire-waists that hide what you want covered up.

And remember, it really is all about you. It doesn't matter what everybody else is wearing. This is your night. Get the dress that says, "This is me!" And don't forget to have fun!
