At some point or another, you have probably found that your larger vacuum was a hassle to use for a smaller job. You had to lug the entire vacuum out and then use it only to pick up a small little pile of things that were on the floor. Now, you are looking to find the best handheld vacuum cleaner, so that you no longer have the hassle of doing that anymore. Here you will find some information to help guide you in your search.
As you start to look around, you will find that many of the handheld vacuums are cordless. A few still come with cord, but there are not many of these anymore. Usually, each type that is handheld comes with a tiny bag or another catch for the dirt and other things that it collects inside. In order to empty them, you open the top and pour out the contents of what is inside.
If you do not empty them out and try using them when they are full, many will lose power and some will lose the garbage out the front where it is supposed to suck it up. The reason for this has to do with the lack of power that the machine has.
All of the handheld vacuum cleaners vary in the amount of power that they have. For the most part, you will want one that has enough power to pick up things like dirt of course, as well as little items on the heavier side like broken glass. Depending on what you plan on using it for, you may want to find one that comes with extra attachments so that you can clean in other areas that are hard to reach.
Some may care about extra attachments and others may not, since they use their main vacuum for that kind of thing. For those that do not have that option on their bigger vacuum though, this would be something to highly consider. Another thing to think of when you are making the choice, is whether you want one on a battery or a cord.
Most get the handheld vacuums due to the portability, so the battery is the best for them. The wall mounts you can put anywhere and do not have to worry about length restrictions of the cord. On the other hand, the battery does run out so you do have to take in consideration the time you have on the battery.
If someone in the home has allergies, then HEPA is something to consider. Some of the handhelds have this option now. Many you can choose, whether you want them as bagless or not.
The best way to determine the best handheld vacuum is to look at other customer reviews, as well as research the product that you are thinking about. As for the cord, that is a matter of preference.
