CRM Software is exceptionally important to anyone in the marketing and sales industry. The advantages gained from CRM software are vast, and they are all very important in their own right.
Constant contact with prospects has long been important to marketers and sales people alike. CRM software allows you to setup email blasts - sending a single message to multiple recipients at one time. It also gives you the opportunity to set up email auto-responders, and continue to put your message in front of a prospective buyer, week after week. Constant contact and email marketing are great for branding, as they can keep your company top of mind in a purchaser or decision maker's head. They can also lead to sales on a whim, by linking to attractive landing pages with sales copy.
Another big advantage of using CRM software is its ability to store information. A CRM system can store client and company names, address information, emails, phone numbers, fax numbers, and the like. But, these SaaS solutions (software as a service) can also store meeting, event, and calendar information. Did you have a meeting with a company's executive manager back in April? Maybe you can't remember? Not to worry - simply log into your CRM solution and check the notes you entered. All meetings and calls can be logged by the user (you), and retrieved at a whim by anyone utilizing your company's CRM account. You can even upload files and log reports with CRM software! Logging information into a CRM is very important, as it can help refresh your memory on a certain client or prospects position. Are they in your pipeline? It can also help others research a contact whom they haven't worked with before. A sales person had to leave the company, you say? No problem, just look up their notes in your CRM solution and you'll be informed on all of their client contact details - from dates, to meeting type, to detailed notes on what transpired.
Finally, CRM software is great for reporting. CRM technology can offer sales reporting, and, reports on goals, revenue totals, and even the internal sales pipeline. These features carry a lot of weight, as sales managers can simply check their CRM reports to process sales forecasts. They can even use the programs to initiate payouts on commissions and set goals for months to come.
CRM service packages have a lot of advantages, and it makes sense for anyone in sales or marketing to give CRM solutions a try. Most of them are offered over the web on a SaaS service, and the costs have decreased significantly over the years - some are even free for single user accounts. Today, you can even use CRMs on your mobile phone with MaaS capabilities! Do yourself a favor, and jump on the CRM bandwagon if you haven't already.
