Nokia and Samsung are the names of two giant brands that have created a niche for themselves in the market. The mobile phones of both the companies have some special technologies embedded in them that makes them objects of desire for everybody. Heer are the comparison of the newly launched handsets of both the companies Nokia 5230 and Samsung Jet Lilac.

The advent of mobile phones have created a revolution on our lives. Earlier the mobile phones were used only for receiving and making calls, but as times are changing rapidly they have become more glitzy and sophisticated packed with lot of oomph and useful applications. There are many big players that are launching these beauties in the market and every mobile has some killer and distinct features that makes it unique and exquisite in the market.

The newly launched mobile phones like Nokia 5230 and Samsung Jet lilac have many features that makes them exquisite in their own ways. The Nokia 5230 mobile phone is the new mobile phone which is expected to release in the fourth quarter of the financial season while Samsung Jet Lilac has already been launched in the market and is available from June,2009. If we compare both the sets, former has a display screen of 3.2 inches and the latter have the screen size of 3.1 inches. But 5230 mobile handset has a TFT resistive screen which displays 16 million colours and gives a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels while talking about Jet's display screen, its AMOLED resistive touchscreen consumes less energy and consumes lesser amount of battery to display 16 million colours and even a better resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Both the mobiles have Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate and Proximity Touch Screen Sensor but Samsung mobiles have TouchWiz v2.0 UI alongwith Motion UI.

Nokia 5230 handset has an Operating Software of Symbian OS v9.4, Series 60 rel. 5 while the other handset contains a Qualcomm MSM6246, 800Mhz processor. Both the handsets have impeccable and provide SMS, MMS, Email, Instant messaging features but Samsung Jet Lilac have a separate feature of Push email. Both the phone supports Jave applications but with some differences. The Nokia handset

have features like Document Viewer through which one can view documents which are supported by Word, Excel and PowerPoint formats. Alongwith that it has also got a feature of Photoeditor embedded init where one can edit their respective photos as per the requirements. Whereas Jet also got some really exemplary features such as Digital compass, Media Gate 3D and Smart unlock. Both the phones have inbuilt Stereo Fm with RDS, but latter one has got FM recording as well by which one can record his/her favouriet songs that are coming on FM.

There is not much difference in respect of data technologies that are supported by both the phones. As both the phones are 3G enabled and have GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE and Bluetooth. The real difference lies in their respective memory space. On one hand we have Nokia 5230, which has an inbuilt memory of 70 MB which can be expandable with the use of a micro SD card. On the other, we have Samsung Jet, which has an internal memory space of 2GB ehich can be further expanded by a micro SD card.

The other major difference lies in the camera features. The Nokia one has a camera which has a 2 Megapixel camera with a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels while the other one has got camera of 5 Megapixel which clicks the pictures at a mind-boggling resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels alongwith auto focus and LED flash features. There is a secondary camera as well in the Jet handset which has a feature of videocalling. Alongwith that it has features like Geo-tagging, face, smile and blink detection, and a wide dynamic range.

Last but not the least the Nokia 5230 has a standard Li-Ion battery of 1320 mAh while the Samsung Jet Lilac has a Li-Ion battery of 1100 mAh. The former has got a standard battery back up of up to 432 h in 2G and 3G but the latter one has a battery back up of up to 422 h and 406 h in 2G and 3G respectively. But Nokia one gives an additional music play of 33 hours.

So apart from all the differences , Both the phones have great features, imoeccable style and are a winner in their own ways.
