I don''t know about you, but I have hundreds of pictures that are doing nothing but taking up space on a hard drive or memory card. Although printing them is easy these days, I''ve run out of room to display them at home. If you were to go through my house and look at the walls, you''d find pictures all over the place. So, here I am with all these great new pictures and no way to show them off.
Some people might say that you could upload them to a photo sharing site or another social network, but there are only so many photos that you need to share online. The rest just go to waste. That''s why I have fallen in love with a brand new way to display photos that I hadn''t thought of until a friend told me about it.
They are called personalized throw blankets, and they are not only the perfect way to display a memory, but they are also awesome gift ideas. In my case, I was able to create a collage of my two dogs and upload them to the photo blanket website. They turned the pictures into a beautiful collage, printed it on a throw blanket, and sent it to me within a week. When I got the blanket, I was so happy I almost cried. Now I''ve got my very own personalized throw blanket displayed over my couch, which I display with pride.
Now that the holiday seasons are approaching, I plan on buying gifts for all of my family members. These photo blankets make great gifts for grandparents that don''t get to see their grandchildren often enough. I also plan on sending my son to college with a school logo on his blanket.
You can buy them in knitted and woven versions and in almost any size and shape. They are excellent quality and the photos never fade or wear out. To make one of your own, you just need a clear photo taken at a high resolution. 6-8 megapixels should do just fine depending on the size of blanket you need. If you aren''t sure if the picture will work, just call and ask. They''ll tell you before they ship it so you don''t end up with an inferior quality blanket.
If you are looking for a way to display photos or photo collages in a new way, then a photo blanket might be perfect for you. They are extremely comfortable, very cozy and warm, and make excellent conversation pieces. There really isn''t any limit to what you can create, which makes putting them together even more fun. I''ve got a few now, so I change them with the seasons, but you would do yourself a disservice by not trying at least one for your home. I have had mine for months, shown them to dozens of people, and I haven''t heard a negative comment about them yet. Personalized throw blankets are fantastic, you''ll love them.
The Memories Place throw blankets are designed to capture your memories forever. Wrap yourself up in the moments you want to treasure a lifetime, or give the gift of fond memories to a loved one.
