You have probably seen beautiful pictures of some pretty stunning homes in magazines. One thing that each of them have in common is a beautifully decorated dining room. The drapes and dining chairs match as well as the other accessories in the room.
You can turn your dining room into a very spectacular room as well. With some gorgeous curtains and matching chair covers you will be on the right track. Some dining rooms have windows in them. If yours does, be sure to put a great window treatment up to make your room look great. Window treatments come in many different designs and colors and there is sure to be one that will look great in your dining room.
Picking out curtains for your space is just the beginning. The next step will be to enhance your dining chairs. Recovering your dining chairs will make a very big impact on the room and can turn an average looking room into a beautiful room in no time at all.
If you entertain your friends and family very often you know how important it is to have comfortable, nice looking dining room chairs. If your chairs are not comfortable then they will surely not stay long. As a person sits in an uncomfortable chair, their body begins to ache and cause them problems. They will not want to stay long if your dining room is uncomfortable.
If providing comfortable seating for your guests is important to you then you should think about what you can do to turn your chairs from uncomfortable to comfortable. One very good way is to recover your chairs. You can add padding and style in just a small amount of time. It is as simple as picking out a great fabric to cover your chairs in and finding a nice foam pad to put under the fabric.
You want to make sure to purchase enough fabric to completely cover each of the seat areas for all of your chairs. If you have fabric on the chairs already, cutting the fabric to the right size will be very easy. All you need to do is remove the old fabric and cut the new fabric in the same size as the old one. Be sure to cut enough squares for each of the chairs.
Spraying your fabric down with a fabric protector such as Scotch Guard is a great idea. It will protect the fabric from any spills that may occur on the fabric. It will give you the ability to just wipe it off before a stain sets in. After you have applied the stain guard and it has dried completely then you will be ready to apply the pad and the fabric.
Set the foam pad on the seat area and begin stretching the fabric very tightly over the foam. When you have it stretched completely, turn the seat over and staple the fabric to the bottom of the chair. Make sure it is very tight so that no wrinkles are on the seats.
Your dining room will surely look fabulous once you have finished recovering all of your dining chairs. If you chose a fabric that compliments your curtains and wall color, the room will go from looking average to looking elegant with just a little bit of work.
