Have you ever predicted something bad which eventually happened? Do you always find horoscope interesting? Do you like giving your friends some advice based on their zodiac sign? If you are prone to doing these things, then you might have an interest in astrology. Astrology is more than just guessing, it is actually predicting some events on a person's life by interpreting the movement of the planets and the position of the sun, star, and moon. So how can you tell if you indeed would become a good astrologer?
You are intuitive and can easily recognize patterns in things and events.
Although it would help to have an ESP, good instinct and intuitiveness would be helpful in giving an overview of things to come to your client. As an astrologer, you would need to consult birth and horoscope charts and a very good grasp of these tools would make your predictions more relevant and credible. It would be good if you are god in math, too. It would also depend on the kind of astrology you practice, since Western astrology has a different concept and disciplines as compared to Hindu or Vedic astrology. You should carefully study these two astrology disciplines and choose which one you would practice if you become an astrologer.
You understand people and can empathize with them.
You will deal with clients most of the time and the reason why they are consulting you is because they want to know some possible solutions to their problems or to understand themselves better. If you decide to become an astrologer, you should also be sincere in helping people. You should be able to give some relevant answers to their queries and present to them the possibilities and avoid giving false hopes. People come to you because of your knowledge, so make sure that your advices are grounded based on careful assessment of their personalities and recognizing the patterns that govern their lives.
You like mythology and giving meaning to symbols.
Interpreting signs and symbols is a big part of being an astrologer. If you find yourself drawn to ancient drawings or symbols, then you are on the right track. Astrology is a discipline that started thousands of years ago and was practiced only by priests or gurus in the past. Learning about the planets, their movement and also their relation to the sun and the moon is a must to someone who would like to become an astrologer. Using birth charts and recognizing Zodiac signs in forecasting involves recognition and careful observation of the symbols and their meanings. It is the best way to stay accurate and give relevant advices.
To become an astrologer is more than just knowing a person's sign or having extra sensory perception for that matter. You should have an interest in it to be able to do it well and be sincere in giving advices to your future clients.
