Women’s skirts are back in fashion! Don’t stay far behind; follow the trend before it is too late. Skirts have been long worn and adored by woman of all generations and ages. Over the years designers have experimented widely with the fabrics, colors and designs of skirts. You can choose the style and make according to your very own persona. Skirts can be worn for parties as well as for picnic. They can be worn to office and can be worn also for a casual get together. Skirts also help to flaunt your figure as well as hide the unnecessary flab! So whether you are thin or plump, short or tall; skirts are meant for one and all. Skirts make you look more feminine and sophisticated. So why not make most of the ongoing fashion.

The most popular styles of skirts include:

• A-Line skirts - these skirts hold your narrow waist to perfection and flair up as they move downwards. You can ask your designer for a knee length skirt as well as an ankle-length skirt in this style. A-line skirts look good in denim material also. A slight copy of the traditional A-line skirt is the modern fist-tail skirt. This skirt is meant to be very narrow on the waist till just above your knees and comes down to give a slight flair on the calves. When you walk in this you can be sure to move many an eyes!

• Pencil skirts - Pencil skirts look brilliant on all women who are proud of their slim frame. These skirts are body hugging from the waist and hips and even below the knee they do not flair up and remain narrow. You can choose a pencil skirt with a back slit or side slit as per your convenience. Pencil skirts in velvet material are the latest fashion mania.

• Pleated skirts -The advantage of pleated skirt is that they can be worn by slim as well as plump woman alike. You can choose a front pleated skirt or a high waist back pleated skirt too. You would be in the wrong lane of fashion if you are wearing a long skirt with pleats. Pleated skirts look best when they are knee length or slightly above that. If you have broad hips choose a high waist skirt which narrows towards the bottom.

• Asymmetrical skirt - This looks best in mid length and to some extent in short length. The best time to wear the skirt would be for a casual evening party. You would not want to wear this to work and get the wrong attention! Asymmetrical skirts make you look very young and trendy. You should discuss with your designer about the kind of fabric that will go best with the season and your personality. The cotton skirt in summer shades with floral prints can’t ever be wrong.

• Mini skirts - Last but not the least mini skirts are an all time favorite. If you can carry it well then length can be anything ranging from short to very short. Tall women can show off their shapely legs. Moreover mini skirts make short women also show elongated legs.
