Anyone looking to hit the powder wants as much information as possible prior to planning a trip. Skiing is one of those activities that’s addictive to anyone who gets involved. Luckily in their cases, they picked a healthy activity. Being that there’s so much passion for the sport and such a desire to accumulate information so people can choose the correct destination, many websites have popped up trying to offer these services.

Some of these websites will relate to resorts in the area. Other sites will provide you with a forecast. Then there are those that will focus strictly on what slopes are open and what the conditions are. However, mountainwatch.com seems to be the only website that offers everything at once, as well as with accuracy. Not only that, but Mountain Watch is offering information on ski resorts in various countries, which include the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Japan. Once you click on one of these tabs, you can narrow your search down to a popular skiing area in that country. At that point, you will be able to choose from live camera shots, forecasts, news, and more.

One of the best features on the site is Resort Stats. Once you click on this tab, you’re brought to a page that tells you pretty much anything and everything you could possibly want to know about that particular skiing destination. First there’s the description, which often tells you a brief history, the difficulty of the terrain and some insider tips. Following that, you will know the mountain, resort and area as if you’ve lived there your entire life. The first section of stats include address, phone and nearest airport. The following section covers accommodations, gear hire, transportation, shopping in the area, lift passes, dining options, annual events, things to do for kids, and other recreational activities nearby.

There are many ski mountain review sites out there, but when it comes to details, Mountain Watch is by far and away the leader. Another bonus is that the site is very easy to use. It’s always good to add a negative in a review, but none could be found.
