There has been a huge increase in the number of good LCD TV's the last couple of years. In a few years there might actually not be normal TV's around as the price of the LCD screens are dropping fast. We will now end the age old battle of LCD Vs Plasma TVs.

LCD Vs Plasma TV

It is general knowledge that a LCD TV is much better than the old tube television. The LCD TV has a flat screen compared to the round screen of a normal TV yet it is the same size. LCD TV's screens are even flatter than a plasma monitor! And there is also a huge weight distinction. LCD is by far the lightest monitor out there. Their Plasma counter part can be 2x as heavy with the exact same size, this is really something to keep in mind.

They are way easier to move around and install the wall bracket. Another plus is that the LCD Screens tend to be way brighter than any other out there. A feature called anti glare has also been introduced to reduce glare. Combined all this and you get a television that are light yet extremely easy to watch.

It is so bright in fact that you can even leave the light on and watch. There is also no reflection on a LCD screen. You also don't need a screen saver as it is not possible to burn an image into the screen like their Plasma counterpart. A burn image is what happens when you leave your Plasma screen on for too long on one image and the image actually gets burned into the screen over time. Once this happens you might just as well buy a new TV as the quality will never been the same again.

LCD Vs Plasma TV part 2

With a LCD TV this will never happen. You are also able to switch between HD and normal with no problem. They also feature a great number of input connectors. Just be sure to check what connector you need then buy the LCD TV accordingly. LCD screens works great for using it with the computer, Plasma not so great. LCD screens text tends to look sharper than plasma. You might think that Huge LCD TV's takes loads of energy but they don't, not at all. Plasma on the other hands seems to take a bit more than LCD.

How much more? Well the plasma uses a wiping fifty percent more than a LCD. Another great thing about the LCD is that it has an extremely long lifespan. Just how long is extremely long? They will work longer than sixty thousand hours of nonstop watching. Might not seem like "extremely long" to you but look at it this way.

That means that you can watch TV every single day for 8 hours daily for twenty year! And let's say for arguments sake that you do sit in front of the TV for this long then all you have to do is take the LCD TV in and replace the back light and it is good as new. The Plasma on the other hand reduces in brightness over the years and once it is to dark must be totally replaced. Hope this cleared some lcd vs plasma tv problems for more info check below.
