Vertical Blinds

Vertical Blinds or Louvre Blinds still seem to be the most common blinds for homes and businesses. They come in both 3 inch (89mm) and 5 inch (129mm) width slats. There is a massive range of fabrics to choose from. You can even get Blackout fabrics for this type of blind, although I would not recommend this, it does still offer a good blackout option. This would especially be of benefit for those who want something other than roller blackout blinds for rooms such as the living room or the office. This is mainly due to the ability of them to block out direct sunlight which affects the viewing of Television Screens or Computer Monitors during bright sunny days. Speaking from experience, having bright sunlight bouncing off your TV or Computer Monitor is literally a real headache.

Venetian Blinds

Venetian Blinds make it easy to control the amount of sunlight entered, and the direction in which it enters. They are also very easy to adjust to a degree that gives you full optical scope, while giving complete privacy from outside view simultaneously. These blinds are also currently considered to be the most modern and stylish on the market. Either in an aluminium or wooden construction, they can easily be wiped clean. This product also offers simple and practical operation, with a control "wand" mechanism to alter the gradient of the blades. Please note, the aluminium range are ideal for a humid environment due to its material. However, this is not recommended for wooden venetians

Blackout Roller Blinds

These blinds reign supreme for giving complete darkness at night and during the day. They are great for an afternoon nap and the light summer evenings. Very practical and easy to use and also good for ensuring that both you and your family get the deep sleep you need. These day-to-night blinds consist of dirt resistant polyester which contains aluminium foil to reflect heat from the summer sun. This also conserves heat during the cold winter months. Well fitted, the blackout blind will let in very little light. Contrary to common claims, it is impossible to eliminate all light. The best that can be hoped for is to dramatically reduce the amount of light penetration. The blackout effect is only achieved by using the correct fabrics, materials and having expert measuring and fitting done. Please note that these blackout blinds are now available in a vast variety of designs and colours. Be aware, it is common for people to want fancy scallops or eyelets as a decorative effect. This is not recommended as light will penetrate through the scallop or eyelets etc and reduce the effectiveness of the blackout blind.

Roller Blinds can control your sunlight intake and also give desired privacy. This range comes in a huge variety of designs, colours and materials. They also diffuse light in an efficient, simple way. Traditionally they are most commonly used for kitchens and bathrooms. Often with decorative finishes like scallops, trims and eyelets, they are frequently becoming more popular throughout the rest of the home or businesses.
