This system is equivalent to the Inspiron 1520 and can be configured from a Celeron M540 processor to a faster core 2 Duo, contrasting the Inspiron model; the option of an AMD is unavailable. The Dell Vostro 1500 laptop, at first sight gives the impression of a great built. Picking it up gives you a very heavy system and apparently is very sturdy and can prove its durability. The structure

The simple design of the Dell vostro 1500 laptop does surprise you, but it makes up with the solid black styling and the professionalism of the system. Though striking to the eyes, it is not flashy like any other gaming laptop. You can see that the LEDs have a good blue color and you can see the lights, the battery level LEDs, the Wi-Fi catcher and the CD drive LED in green color and the color of the low battery light is an odd pink.

The right side of the Dell vostro 1500 is set for the DVD burner, two USB ports, the Ethernet, the firewire, the memory card reader. The left side is for the wireless card switch, and the express card slot and the audio plugs. The back of the case had power plug and modem, two USB ports and an S-video plug. The front of the Dell vostro 1500 laptop is for the buttons for media control, the volume control , play, pause, skip forward backward and the skip button.

Other characteristics

Talking about the screen, speakers and the processors, the screen on the vostro 1500 is quiet regular. You can say that the vertical field of the screen is fairly poor, and have to adjust the screen with the way you are sitting. The horizontal field is better, the screen is rather bright and the colors are saturated and correct to the eyes. Though you can see the light leaks they are not noticeable on a black screen. The speakers of vostro 1500 are not impressive and are akin to most models of this range. But the speakers do get louder and as they are on the underside the sound does not get muffed by the hands. The Core 2 Duo processor is great. It is now feasible to do the CPU intensive task and still is a responsive system all the way which is amazing.

Dell vostro 1500 price is less than $ 600 and not bad at all. So you see the system is moderately powerful, inexpensive and good build.
