Hay bales are those hay cubes which are presented in a variety of colours. You shouldn’t underestimate these small items. Individually they may not be so important, but when used together then can have a multitude of applications.
They are present as a decoration item. If you place them together, you can create drawings, using each of them as a coloured "pixel". You can even write a name by forming letters with them. You can also make a huge drawing similar to cross stitch when you see it from the distance.
If you search on the web, you will be amazed at the variety of original drawings people create at their farms with this single Farmville item.
The Artful Use
If you want you may use them to form a huge picture but this can cost you a bit. Imagine what it was like if it were in pixels. The more it has, the better quality presents. It’s the same thing in here, if you want to create a good image, you should really buy lots of them and fill a big area to achieve a nice effect. These Farmville hay bales are presented in ten different colours: black, grey, white, violet, blue, pink, red, orange, green and yellow. Each costs 125 coins except the "standard" hay bale, the yellow one, which only costs you 100 coins.
The Best Way to Level Up
Hay bales are an excellent resource to level up in Farmville. They are the cheapest item, and you can buy them and win 5 XP for each one. For each one you sell you’ll receive 5 coins for the "standard" hay bale. It’s like if you were trading 95 coins for 5 XP. Using this technique you can speed up your process of levelling up, saving you the work of plowing, seeding and harvesting your crops. Remember this: 95000 coins buys you 5000 XP. Not bad, ah?
Stacking
The stacking trick is in fact an illusion, as if the hay bales are placed on top of each other, but they are not. It’s not possible to stack items on Farmville, but you can apply this trick. You just have to position your hay bales close to each other, and leave between them a small space. This space just has to be enough to hide the grass underneath them.
