A lot of things can be cooked in ovens. You can get an oven that is self cleaning and you can also get a mat to put in it to keep stuff that drips from sticking to the bottom. There are a lot of cleaning supplies you can buy for your oven if you don't have one or don't want to spend the money to get one.
Some things you can cook in an oven include Lasagna, Sweet Potatoes, Casseroles and you can also makes baked potatoes. If you do not have a microwave you can also heat up quite a few things in the oven. You can also buy glass cooking bowls to use in the oven and on top of your stove. If you are not sure of what kind of brand you want to buy ask what other people prefer.
If you like sculpting you can get some Sculpey and mold something and use your oven to harden it. It is also nice to be able to match your refrigerator and stove. It is very possible to get a matching pair. However if you already have a refrigerator you can always just get the closest match.
There are two ways to get a stove to work, gas and electric. If you are big on cooking and do it a whole lot you should stick with a gas stove it will save you a lot of money in the long run. If you get an electric stove it can really shoot your bill up there. Keep in mind that you should measure where your stove is going to go because you don't want to get it home to find out that it doesn't fit where you want it to go.
Self cleaning stoves costs a little more than a regular one, but in the end it is worth it so that you don't have to scrub it yourself. There are many great cleaning supplies you can get to clean your oven. Most cleaning supplies you get for your oven you only have to spray it on, wait and few minutes and then wipe it clean.
A lot of people prefer a dark stove because they think it wont show off spots they may have missed in cleaning. There is nothing wrong with having a stove that you like but dark colored stoves will show off every little spot you miss because its so shiny and like a mirror.
If you decide not to get a self cleaning oven make sure you get some cleaning supplies specifically for ovens. Another good thing to have is burner covers, they keep unwanted dirt out of your burners. And don't forget some oven mitts so you can take the hot stuff out of the oven.
Whichever stove you choose to get make sure it is a good one that's going to last you and be worth the price you pay for it. If you notice that your stove has too much build up that you cant get off, it's probably rust and you need to get a new stove to ensure that you don't have any house fires.
