An ITIL certification is very important to anyone considering IT outsourcing. If you depend on significant amount of IT services for the operation of your business then locating a vendor having the Information Technology Infrastructure Library certification is a top priority.
ITIL certification enables a vendor to provide top-quality services to any organization that depends on information technology. These outsourcing agents are able to align IT services right alongside business requirements. The third reason an ITIL certification is important is that you’ll be able to identify which management processes are most important in an organization and be able to show how they can be more efficient.
Three Types of ITIL Certification
-
ITIL Foundation Certificate - this is required first before applying for the other two types of certification. This certification helps people understand the jargon and processes within ITIL.
-
Practitioner’s Certificate – focused on IT organization and communication with the customer, this certification focuses on specific areas that are required for ITIL Services Support and Service Delivery.
-
Manager’s Certificate – this is for business professionals who have experience in the field with planning, management, and operation of the business and customer service.
Why is an ITIL Certification Important?
ITIL certificate(s) are a valuable and professional asset to the company. These certifications are recognized not only in the United States, but also worldwide. For IT outsourcing service providers having these certifications, the sky is the limit when it comes to winning clients. Providers holding an ITIL certification understand what your organization needs in order to make the IT services function more efficiently.
ITIL certification is based on a tried and true set of business practices that have proven successful. Anyone trained with this information will know and understand how IT should and does work within an organization. Someone who is ITIL certified will have the ability to help your company lower costs across the board and determine how best to use the companies resources.
Is your company struggling to lower overall operating costs to remain competitive? Learning how to employ an ITIL based system in-house or outsource your IT services to a qualified ITIL certified provider can be difficult. But not impossible if you are armed with the right information.
