How does it affect satellite TV?
Satellite TV is a leading source of TV entertainment and is a paid medium. To watch dish TV you need to pay the TV provider for the installation and packages. It is a kind of paid TV entertainment.
At present there are some vendors that are making some software through which one can watch satellite TV content with a free-to-air receiver. Using this software, a viewer does not have to pay the rightful suppliers of the dish entertainment for watching the content. All they need t o do is to purchase the software from another vendor. Thus the rightful distributor of the dish TV content does not get any revenues from the viewers. Thus this software is also a kind of pirate software.
With such pirate software in the market dish TV providers is losing some of its potential customers who are downloading the illegal software and getting dish entertainment through it.
