You can maintain these granite countertops for a longer period of time if you take certain precautions. You pay a high cost when you buy this, thinking that it’s indestructible and for lifelong, but if you will not pay appropriate attention for their maintenance and care even they can be damaged.

You need to clean this on daily basis, use paper towel or soft cloth to wipe up spills or clean it with hot water and sponge.
Acidic spills and some liquids such as cooking oil, sodas, juice and alcohol are substance that could make stain and damage it so wipe out immediately to stop staining.
To clean the surface thoroughly any special procedure or stone can be used, you can even use dish washing detergent weekly.
If you apply sealant just once in a year to all the surfaces than it will help in maintaining the shine and beauty.
You need to save your countertop from scratches. Although this is scratch resistance but with few rough substances like sugar, salt or drag broken appliances can scratch it and if you become careless than these scratched area will not take mush time to convert into stains.
As said granite has heat resistance but only the thick granite can absorb high temperature and every person cannot avail for thick granite. If you use thin granite than do not put hot pan or pot which is directly taken from the oven or stove as it does not have enough heat absorbance capacity.
