A steam cleaner for hard surfaces has a lot of cleaning advantages that make it the cleaning tool of choice. It is easy, cheaper than constantly buying new cleaning supplies, environmentally friendly, and highly effective.
To effectively clean your home you would typically need to carry around a few different bottles of cleaning chemicals, rags, brushes, and a mop and/or vacuum to take care of everything. When you have a steam cleaner you just need a steam cleaner and possibly a cloth for wiping down surfaces if you're using a portable hand held unit for all hard surfaces instead of a steam mop (which is meant primarily for the floor). You fill the unit with some water, wait briefly for it to heat up, and you're ready to clean! When picking a unit you'll want to make sure you pick one that is light enough for you to carry around your home to make things easy on yourself, but most units are built with this in mind.
Steam cleaners only use water, so there are no chemicals for you to deal with. This is easier both on the environment, and your wallet. The product itself will cost you money up front, but after that there aren't really accessories for you to constantly buy and replace--a good product will come with some extensions for cleaning various surfaces-and the money you'll save on constantly buying supplies will end up saving you over time. You also don't have any disposable wipes or paper towels to buy and throw away, which is again both cost effective and environmentally friendly.
Another advantage that comes along with the lack of chemicals is that you don't have to worry about harsh chemicals ruining your nice surfaces, like hardwood floors or nice tiles. Steam cleaning is both easy on your home and effective at cleaning up a mess.
For all of these reasons you should seriously consider using a steam cleaner for hard surfaces in your home.
