Inkjet printers are amazing pieces of technology as they have totally changed the way we print. You can now print text, copy, graphics and photos in full vibrant colours that look as good as any professional company can achieve. Whether it is a home or office situation, the freedom to print at any time is convenient and gives you full control over the whole process.
Buying printer cartridges via the internet is a good way to control, and reduce, your printing costs. There are all kinds of options available from original printer ink, reconditioned and compatible cartridges, to inkjet refill kits and even cartridge recycle plans.
If you have anything to do with printing then you will probably already be aware that replacement ink cartridges can be quite expensive to replace. If you have to replace them at regular intervals, you have probably spent far more on them than the printer cost you! However, they are a necessary expense so what can you do to reduce your costs?
A more cost effective method is to have your cartridges refilled; this not only works out cheaper but also is also more environmentally friendly. You can buy refill kits to make the task easy as they contain all the parts needed for an easy refill.
Refilling your cartridge is so simple, do it once and you will see how little time it takes up. It works out much cheaper to refill your cartridges than replacing them every time they are empty. First, you need to clean out the empty cartridge, if there is any residue remaining then it could clog. Open up the ink reservoir and fill the syringe with ink, then pour it into the reservoir and the job is done. Place the cartridge back into the machine and print out a test page to check everything is ok. All refill kits include instructions so you can’t really go wrong.
Anyone can use an ink cartridge refill, whether you are working from home as a one-man show or in a large company with hundreds of people to account for. They offer value for money, and the fact they can be recycled means you are contributing towards minimizing the mass of plastic found in landfills all over the world.
If it’s not possible to refill your printer cartridges then you could always recycle your empty cartridges, in some cases you can even get money for your empty ink cartridges as some brands or companies offer a recycling scheme and will give you money back on empties or a reduction if you buy new ones with them.
The environment is a big concern for everyone and the materials that ink cartridges are made from, plastic and metals, means that they can take hundreds of years to decay if they are thrown into landfill sites. When you realize that millions of cartridges are tossed away every year, and that’s only counting the ones in the UK, then deciding to refill your cartridges makes a lot of sense.
Refill inks can be purchased in black or colour and how long they last and their level of quality will depend on the price you are prepared to pay. There are cheap versions that offer value for money so the best method is to try a few brands until you find one you are happy with.
You can buy laser cartridge and inkjet cartridges, including refills in most stores that sell printers, or for convenience order them online. Ensure your cartridge product number coincides with your printer before making a purchase. There are lots of reputable dealers online who can give you advice and information if you need it.
Every business has to keep an eye on their budget in today’s economic climate, and making the decision to buy refill cartridges instead of simply replacing them is an economical and green choice that we should all be taking.
