Founder: Renzo Rosso

Graduating from an industrial textile manufacturing college in 1975, the designer Renzo Rosso established its own company, Diesel, in 1978. Different from the slavish trend of that time in the fashion circle, he managed to take chances and carve out a niche for itself in its field.

Therefore, at the beginning he recruited a group of innovative and genius designers under the leader of him to create the most dynamic and imaginative product available anywhere. Their designer team, led by the Creative Director of Wilbert Das, has been given great freedom to express their own ideas and create products with its own characteristics. Thus, the unconventional working methods make Diesel prosperous development in the following decade. In 1991, Diesel began its international marketing strategy and then opened its first flagship store at Lexington Avenue, New York.

At present, Diesel has become a prestigious international design brand whose products range over jeans, clothing, handbags and other accessories.
