I would like to try and set the mood of last night (I’m not a writer by any stretch of the imagination).

I was basically sitting on the beach in a bar with my fiancé watching the last of the surfers trying to catch the last waves of the day. The sun was going down directly in front of us, we were enjoying a beer or two. There was UB40 playing in the background, being from NZ I grew up with UB40, I had not heard them for years. The few people left on the beach were just silhouettes in the distance as the sun begun to change color to an amazing orange, then to pink. the kind you only see in magazines or on TV.

My fiancé was feeling a little cool from the sea breeze and she came and sat on my lap while we just sat and admired the sun going down. I had a feeling of complete content and happiness, I was thinking at the time how lucky we are to be here, (traveling around the world) I thought about our friends left behind who are back doing the same thing they have always been doing. See at my age most people are settling down having children and working extremely hard in there so called careers. They are stuck in the day to day grind that I decided not to be involved in anymore. Fallen to the entrapment of their possessions, but like most people they have a desire to have a better than average life and work extremely hard to maintain it.

I then thought to myself that its not luck! I made and informed decision that I will not be a part of that world. I don’t want an ordinary life at all never had. I simply want an extraordinary life doing the things i love and having the freedom and income to achieve this.

Working the way I was simply was not working. I took it upon myself to change what I had been doing so far all my life and simply change my mind set, change what I had always been doing.

I had read many books as I always do, always on successful people. So many times I heard the saying along the line of. "Take a look at your friends and the take the person or people that earn the most money, take their net worth and it will be directly in line with what yours is".

This actually wasn’t true. You see I was the one who was at the time probably had a larger net worth. Not to say they did not have a great lifestyle or were not trying. At the time one of my friends had started a new business and had some issues with it, and every time we would meet I would always ask how things were going, sometimes I would even get the feeling he did not enjoy me asking. I can honestly say my intentions were always genuine as I wanted him so much to succeed and always gave him full support. I really wanted him to succeed so possibly i could learn from him.

But I realized no more! I want to be around people that I can learn from and are living the lifestyle that I want to live.

So I made a plan, found my new business and now simply doing what most people only dream of. I now find some of our friends are starting to do what we are doing, and perhaps we have now become the leaders instead of followers.

So what´s my point here? Well initially there wasn’t one when I wrote this, I just felt like writing down my feelings. I find myself writing a lot more these days, you can when you have time.

But if there is a point to be made out of this, it´s this!

Stop dreaming and start doing! Make a plan and forget about what everyone else is doing! "If you are not where you want to be today, stop doing what you have always done"!

When you find the business or tools you need to succeed, go at it like your life depends on it! do not stop until you get there! and if people try to stop you find new people.

Essentially you will find a whole new type of friend; you will gain the greatest satisfaction because you know it is you that has made the change. You are the one that has done it and like 90% of the others who don’t in the world, you are now in the top 10% and have created the lifestyle you always wanted.
