Why I Absolutely Adore Rainfall Shower Heads

The shower is a truly special place. It is the spot we visit to invigorate the senses and get our bodies ready for our day. It's the place where we go to rejuvenate after our day ends. For lots of us, it is the place that we sometimes flee to during the day if we just need to get away from it all.
It is the act of water hitting and encompassing our bodies which makes this all possible. In order to make our showering experiences as special as possible, even if they could get routine like, we need to channel the power of water with a great shower head.
One of my favorite shower heads is the rainfall shower head. Rain fall shower heads, as the name implies, are designed to mimic rainfall. These shower heads hang high, directly above and point straight down. The spouts are large circular discs with many holes, so the outflow of water covers a wide area. It really feels like you are standing amidst a calm rainy day. Make it cold and refreshing during the hot summer days, or make it a warm tropical rain during the dead of winter.
Many of these shower heads are adjustable, allowing the user to control water patterns and pressure. You can do things such as make the water flow out in streams, or in a drip-like fashion. You can make it into a soothing rainfall for calm and relaxation. Or, you can make it into a high speed, highly pressurized rain storm to massage and invigorate you.
Most rainfall shower heads extend from the wall. You may have to buy a base extension to create more headspace. These extensions can simply jut straight out, or can arc over your head. To create more headspace, you might have to get an extension that goes straight up against the wall, then out over your head.
However, some are installed on the ceiling. The ones that you have to install in the ceiling are more difficult to install, but they make for a really neat look. The ceiling mounted ones can extend down from a pipe, or if you want a really sleek look, you can install panels in the ceiling so there is no visible pipe.
They come in varying sizes, but get the biggest one that will fit inside your shower stall. Some really fancy ones come with multiple heads to cover an even larger area. These are extremely fun and entertaining, like your losing yourself in a rain storm.
Rainfall shower heads come in all sorts of materials. However, if you want an elegant and sophisticated look, get an oil rubbed bronze shower head and faucet fixtures.
