If you are expecting an article on the eco-friendly benefits of solar power then you are out of luck because I would like to get right to the specifics. Self produced renewable energy such as solar power is about to become one of the most vital investments you can make. And I'm talking about to the extent that many people will have no option but to make use of the benefits of solar power.
This year Obama introduced his new budget plan which included a major cap-and-trade energy tax on coal, oil, and natural gas that is designed to help fund the bailout and other federal spending. The White House has even speculated that this could amount to more than $2 Trillion dollars over the next eight years. And if you thought it could not get any more shocking, you can plan on forking out for this tax until 2050 when it is slated to come to an end.
Just to provide you with an idea of the impact, today the present average cost of home energy is $112.32 every month. Once this new energy tax is in full effect, the estimated costs are likely to reach $562.67 per month. So unless you can pay for an additional $450 per month, you probably won’t be able to live without the benefits of solar power.
President Obama knows the effect that this is going to have. With the big bad oil, coal, and natural gas companies monopolizing the energy market, he is striving to help solar power compete as a new less expensive power source.
So you may want to strongly consider these 3 benefits of solar power.
#1 Benefit of Solar Power - They Cannot Regulate Solar Energy
Of all the benefits I can imagine, the fact that solar energy cannot be regulated is the most powerful one of all. This would mean that the federal government is not able to tax the solar power that you make yourself at home.
#2 Benefit of Solar Power – It Does not Answer to the Law of Supply and Demand
As I’m sure you know, the costs of non-renewable energy such as coal, oil, and natural gas normally vary based on the law of supply and demand. So if there is an higher demand for one, the price will increase consequently.
But the beauty of making your own solar energy is that it is not a tradable commodity so it does not follow the same economic law. Instead, the sun will shine every single day with an limitless supply of energy that will never be depleted.
#3 Benefit of Solar Power - It's Free, Period
Energy straight from the sun will never cost you a penny. Do not get me wrong, you still have to pay for the material costs associated with collecting the solar energy but there is no immediate cost of the sun energy itself. Bear in mind that even the price of the more costly solar power systems will soon be a great deal given the increased cost of energy associated with this new energy tax.
What it boils down to is that solar energy is the most abundant, free, and economically secure energy source out there. And now you can tack on all of the other benefits of solar power together with that. The other choice is to start planning an extra $450 into your monthly finances.
