There are many things to consider when looking for a patio bar set. The material of the furniture is important, the set up of your backyard or balcony and the style and size of the type of pieces you want.
A great bar set for the backyard or balcony, if you have a large one, can expand the home for entertaining purposes. It can bring people outside when you are having a party or a get together with family or friends. In fact, with the extra bar furniture you can have more guests come to your house with the added space!
Everyone’s outdoor space is designed differently. The first thing you will want to do is access the space and overall look. Think about how you want the furniture to look. Do you want lots of entertainment bar tables and chairs? Are you planning on having lots of outdoor parties? Or is one patio bar set enough? When you figure out how many pieces you want and the size, you can determine the material and color.
Outdoor bar sets come with three types of furniture, there is the party bar, the bar table and bar stools or chairs. Party bars can range in size and shape. They can be long and rectangular in shape, a small crescent shape or a long L-design. Most people enjoy the look of the crescent shape for entertaining small parties and functions. It can fit into most backyard sizes and large balconies. Usually it can accommodate around two or three people comfortably on bar chairs. The longer party tables work well for people who have lots of large functions, restaurants and banquets.
Bar tables are designed pretty much the same. They are tall with a slim pedestal bottom with a small table top. This kind of table can serve two functions; it can be for guests to stand and hold their drinks while they social size, or they can be set up with matching bar chairs. It is common for most people to have the table match the party bar and chairs to have the complete matching look.
Bar chairs can be put either at the party bar or situated at the bar table. They are meant to be a place to sit for a short time while you have a quick drink. Most chairs have a swivel seat so that you can spin it around if you want to get off, and not have to actually pick up the chair or try to slide it back. The chairs are heavy so moving them around will take some effort. Some chairs come fully welded while others are partially welded together.
A patio bar set can come in an assortment of colors and materials. They can be found in wood, cast iron, wrought iron, and wicker. If you have a wooden patio set, you will need to treat the wood so that it will last. A cast iron will have to be painted every few years. While a wrought iron will sustain any kind of weather.
