By brushing your tongue, you will rid yourself of bacteria that causes bad breath. Ideally, you should brush each time you eat, but twice a day is adequate for most people.
Use a soft bristle brush only. A stiffer brush will result in damage to the gums. As the bristles become weak around every 3-4 months, you should get a new tooth brush. Many people mistakenly think that using an electric toothbrush does the entire cleaning job. This is a myth.
