Choosing the Right Baby Prams

There are so many styles of baby prams that the new mother could be excused for feeling overwhelmed. Choosing the right baby pram is quite difficult as these are expensive items and you want to get the most use possible out of it.
To find the right style of pram you have to think about your lifestyle and what you are likely to be doing with baby.
If you love to walk a lot and live in an area where there are few sealed paths, then buying a baby pram with bigger wheels will help you traverse those rough areas. Bigger wheels will also give baby a softer ride along with good springs in the pram chassis.
But if you tend to go shopping a lot and your mall is along sealed paths, then a baby pram with front wheels that are smaller and rotate will help you to negotiate those supermarket aisles and sharp corners more easily.
Those mothers that travel by car will need a baby pram that is easy to fold and light to lift. It needs to fit easily into the car and still leave enough room for the groceries or other baby paraphernalia. Those who use public transport also require a light baby pram, but it should also be able to be folded up and down with one hand, as you will be holding your baby and perhaps parcels in the other hand while you collapse the baby pram.
Then you'll need to lift it easily into the bus or train and off again before setting it up for baby to ride in. Try it out in the shop before purchase to see if this can be done with one hand.
All baby prams need to have good brakes, but they should also be easy to access. You should be able to apply the brakes and also take them off with your toe to save bending. Besides, if your hands are full it is easier to do it with your foot. With the right kind of pram your life with baby will be much easier.
Mel loves shopping and writes about baby prams among other shopping related topics.
