Earlier this year I wrote a couple of articles about the Global Entrepreneurial Movement and how over the next decade, there will be significant shift from the typical employer - employee model to a growing mass of self-employed entrepreneurs. President Obama, during his state of the Union address also stressed the importance of small businesses to create jobs. This will be a very interesting development because we know full well that the internet will be a major catalyst of this shift.

As people turn to the internet as the backbone of their small business, they quickly come to the realization that to be successful, one has to learn many new skills - copywriting, marketing, managing customers, managing systems, developing products, etc. There is a steep learning curve and there are only so many hours in a day. As a result, it becomes evident rather quickly that leverage strategies are essential to success. One of those strategies is to leverage resources so that all the required elements of running a home-based business get done but not necessarily by one person. This is called outsourcing and we could easily see how this tactic will gain traction rather quickly.

Think about it. If self-employed entrepreneurs considered their time in terms of revenue generating versus non-revenue generating, then it would only make sense for them to spend most of their available time on things that are revenue generating, all the rest is lost revenue. We won't get into how and what to outsource in this article, but we will relate this back to what President Obama expressed in his Union Address earlier this year. As these entrepreneurs turn to leverage strategies to become more profitable and begin to outsource some of the tasks related to their business, they will in effect be infusing money back into the economy by creating jobs for others (outsourcers). These individuals, or firms, could take on tasks as diverse as personal assistants, web designers, copywriters, and even maid services. The consideration to keep in mind is to ensure you outsource the right things in the right sequence.

Yes, the Global Entrepreneurial Movement is upon us and the internet will be a driving force in more ways than one. In this article, we illustrated how new entrepreneurs will actually pave the way to economic recovery by creating jobs through outsourcing.
