How a Blog will Build Your Online Business
Many hear the word blog and get nervous. Some don't even know what a blog is or how it works. Today, we will go over how a blog can build your online business.
First, lets talk about what a blog is. A blog is in essence a website that is uniquely yours. You have the power to put whatever information you want the world to know about you on it. This can be pictures, stories, videos, reviews, etc about yourself. Now lets talk about how this powerful tool will build your online business.
How many times have you been approached by someone in Mary Kay, Avon, PrePaid Legal, Amway, or MonaVie that tells you about their company and sends you to a company replicated site? If you are like me, of times, those types of sites don't impress me. This is because more than likely, I have seen it before from the 10 other people that I know in that same company. This is where the power of a blog is used.
Say your online business is with Avon and you have literally millions of reps with the same products, books, samples and website that you have. However, you have a blog and on this blog you have your personal story, pics, etc. From this point, add a section with general beauty and health awareness articles. You do not have to be an expert, but even if it is general knowledge, you now position your self as an expert. From there, you have a link from your blog
to your company site.
The strategy:
Invite people to visit your blog FIRST, then go to your company replicated site.
By sending people to your blog, they get to know your personally and see that you have knowledge about the subject. They then will see you as the
expert and take any advice that you have to heart.
Having a blog and this strategy will greatly increase your conversions or (sales/ reps) up to 50%.
Don't worry, your blog doesn't have to be the prettiest or most attractive. It can be very simple and to the point and yield great results
