India is a land of heritage, exotic beauty and varied culture. The diversity in this country does not only lie in the culture but also is in the climate. The varied climate and weather conditions play an important part for the visitors to plan their trip in India. The climate here is distributed in mainly three seasons that are summers, monsoons and winters. The climate changes are extreme and vary even in duration according to the areas and land masses.
The best time to plan India trips depends on the place you wish to visit. If you wish to see the historic monuments in the north India such as in Delhi, Rajasthan and Agra then the best time would be from October to March. The weather during this period in these places is cool and pleasant. One should avoid visiting the north India during April to June as the weather is extremely hot and humid and also during July and September as then the monsoon make it wet and damp everywhere. On the contrary this time is pat for visiting the part of Himalayan Mountains in Ladakh and Kashmir.
If you are an adventurous person then the regions of Himalayas are the best for you. You should visit this region during the months of March to May and September to November as this time period is ideal for trekking and Mountain Climbing in the Himalayas.
If you wish to make a south India trip to embrace yourself in the exotic beauty of nature then you can visit places such as Cochin, Chennai and Kerela. Here the climatic conditions are chiefly dominated by the monsoons especially in Cochin. The peak time to visit the west coast of Cochin is from June to August and the eastern coast can be visited during October to December to enjoy the rainfall during that time. The best time to visit the natural beauty of Kerela is from November to April when the climate is although hot but the hill station makes it cooler.
The best time to plan a trip in India to visit the eastern parts such as kolkata is from October to march where although the weather is hot during the day but then is relatively cooler during the night. If you are a lover of rain then the peak time of monsoons in kolkata is during June to August. The western regions in India such as Mumbai and Goa can be visited during October to May where the weather is pleasant and enjoyable with monsoons from June to September.
In case if the above mentioned time periods do not suit you then you can still plan an India trip during November to February as this is the high season for tourist visits. The season from October to March is considered to be the shoulder season where a tourist along with the India’s attractions can be a part of the many festivals such as Diwali, Durga Puja, Goa Carnival, The Dessert Festival and The Bikaner Camel Festival.
