Ok so you are online to make money and also to afford yourself the best life whereby you have plenty of time to do exactly what you want to do and to spend more time with your family doing the things that you all enjoy. Yes?
Ok then my friend its time to realize that you just need to build yourself a business and not just an 'online venture' and to get serious and down to work. Can you handle that?
Ok one of the first things you need to realize is that you will need to build up a list of subscribers who are willing to follow your advice; yes people will actually listen to what you have to say as long as what you say is relevant to them.
I'm sure after reading countless articles and reading all the expert advice being offered, as well as taking in all those success stories that get you fired up you are wanting to do the same. Creating an opt-in List of subscribers can be one of the very best ideas to skyrocket your business 'identity' and therefore your online earnings.
You may well have tried already to build that opt-in list of subscribers and had mixed results, indeed you may well have had lots of sign ups to your newsletter but the drop out rate can be lethal! In fact you may actually be losing money right now with autoresponders and maybe hiring people to write those all important emails.
So what may have gone wrong? Why would others have succeeded where you have failed?
One of the most common mistakes in deciding to build that opt-in list is that people just read that it can be done and just dive in! You may have a reasonable idea of what you are talking about and the topic seems to be a big earner for others, but when it comes down to it those subscribers just aren't buying from you or the products that you are recommending. Well my friend just because you can advertise to people doesn't mean that they will buy from you or take your advice, they may well be on your list because you offered something for free just to get them there.
Here, now that I have your attention, I will offer you some more advice, for those of you who may have started an opt-in list and failed in the attempt, so that you can rejuvenate your enthusiasm for your business adventure.
For those people who want to start out to build that opt-in list here are 3 fast and easy tricks to build up your list:
- Build up a trust between you and your customers and let them trust your products.
Just launching in to that "sign up now for my newsletter" on your website won't really impress or get lots of people signing up unless they think that you have the knowledge to help them in their business.
Write some articles on what you have knowledge of and check around the forums in your niche to find people who need some of your help and help them! Put them first and they will forever be thankful and your reputation will spread by word of mouth. Target peoples needs and appeal to their hearts and minds and you will see that your effort will reap rewards.
You will eventually have a list of co-op friends who may well themselves be building a list and you can help each other to market yourselves and your products and recommendations. People are not going to buy from you or your recommendations unless they know of you and trust what you say.
- This one can be quite easy with the advent of PLR - You will need to offer a product or service that people will actually want and need.
If you can't create a product or service or simply do not have the time then you will have to source and 'individualize' an existing product or service with your specific knowledge of the subject at hand. You will need to at least invest some time and money into the creation of something that personally you can take forward and promote and be involved in the marketing of. Be a teacher to others who want to know what you know, people will always look to others to educate them and if you have any experience to share then you can teach others.
Do your research well though as there may be fewer people looking out for the information that you provide than you think, is it going to be profitable for you and also your subscribers?
Get it right and you may well see the profits start rolling in.
- Make friends with other marketers with their own opt-in lists with JV opportunities.
This can be the start of something big! To be able to utilize other peoples lists to your own ends can be enormous to your business. Learn from those who are successful in building an opt-in list and build a rapport and learn what they know and aim to be beneficial in some way to them. While there may be plenty of info and articles to read about the subject of building an opt-in list, there is no better way to learn than from fist hand accounts of exactly how it is done from someone you trust.
Experience counts. When you require the knowledge of something, you need to seek the know-how and experience of those who have "been there and done that" to be able to learn yourself.
Situations for everyone will be different but generally you wont need to re-invent the wheel in most situations and try to stick with what works and avoid the things that your new 'trusted friend' has warned you to avoid.
Building that profitable opt-in list will not happen overnight, there are many things that you need to learn and be sure of that will work and you of all else must be prepared to put in the work.
As your list grows you should make a special effort to keep it fresh with good training and advice as well as prudent investment advice. Hire some help once you build up the list numbers so that you can focus on what you need to and keep organized and things will be manageable.
Your writing style should be your own too, remember they are on your list for a reason - they want you to show them what you want to share with them.
