The National Park Week is a week-long celebration and it has been scheduled this year to happen on April 17 up until the 25th. And so what happened was that the national parks that are all around the nation were up and celebrating this event. And in Carlsbad, the Carlsbad Cavern, a national park of course, was up and about and participated in the mentioned event. It was part of a whole group of national parks that were up for this.
And with this National Park Week came good news for all those who are into going to the park and for those who were planning to go take a visit to these national parks. See, entrance to the places were then given out as free. So anyone who was interested can take a peek at what the place has got to offer.
Those who took advantage of this could go through what the parks have and experience the whole thing without spending a dime. Plus, they also were able to join in the programs that were planned for the National Park Week celebration.
Climbing ropes was one of the activities that were set for the celebration and those who were there were able to understand the basics of how to climb ropes. It may seem like not much of a big deal right now but one could use the knowledge sometime in their lives.
Of course, so as to let everyone know what was happening during the entire week’s celebration, the national parks had a list of the programs that they were having. This was on display and was available for anyone to see. People who wanted to learn what they could attend could simply view what was there. It seemed like only the guided tours were the ones which asked visitors to pay. For the rest, everything was free of charge.
There were plenty who went to the Carlsbad Caverns. This is not your ordinary national park though. And this is why people were amused and amazed by what the park had to offer. They were able to try out different kinds of activities that were done outdoors. The list included hiking on the desert canyon, going through a cave and seeing what was inside, as well as trying to spot birds right in Rattlesnake Springs. Not a lot of ordinary people could do that as they please and the National Park Week was a good chance to do all that.
There were also activities for children. At 3:45 in the afternoon, the little ones can join the activities that were set by the staff of the Carlsbad Caverns. There were things for them to do so they could play and learn and they also could enjoy the presences of Cal S. Bat, the mascot of the park.
The Carlsbad Caverns definitely is one prime Carlsbad real estate and one good reason why there are people going through Carlsbad homes for sale. A place like this in your community is definitely a big plus.
